Containership operation :Initial Response To Stevedores Accident

Anyone who has discovered or has reported a stevedore injury (including line handling men) shall notify the Duty Officer, and the following measures shall be taken:

• Reporting to the Chief Officer or Master

• Reporting to the responsible stevedoring person

• Reporting to the Local agent

• Asking for local emergency Medical Services via the Local agent

• Giving First aid treatment to the injured person

• Confirming and preserving the scene of the accident
